Skky Music attended the 2011 Sobe Awards on Miami's South Beach. The night was truly dedicated to Rick Ross to acknowledge and award him for both his individual success, along with the sucess of his Record Label Maybach Music. Along with Rick Ross, several Local Miami artist both veteran and up-in-coming were also awarded. Miami's Pioneer in the Rap Industry "Trick Daddy" was also acknowledged for his accomplishments and for opening the doors for artists such as Rick Rose, PitBull, Flo-Rida and more. Skky Music, a major supporter of Miami's Local Music Scene would like to congratulate all award recipients.

August 24, 2011 - R.I.P (Corey "Duke" Gordon)
Skky Music joins the Global South Family in mourning the loss of Corey (aka Duke) Gordon. Corey's life was taken from us on Tuesday, August 23rd at the hands of what the news is calling a drive-by shooting at Carol City Park. [We await more details on this murder]. Corey is a long time sponsor of Miami Gardens Youth Football League, and I can only assume that he was watching them practice prior to the incident that took his life.
Corey "Duke" Gordon was the CEO of Global South Music, The Coordinator (and Speaker) of the 2011-South Florida High School AIDS/Crime Prevention Tour, A Sponsor of Youth Sports in Miami Gardens, and a man who truly wanted to make a difference in his community.

UnTuchabel performs in front of the entire IMG/StrongArm Family at Spotlight Cabaret. IMG/StrongArm is the Management Company that Manages Flo-Rida, as well as a host of other upcoming recording Artist. On Friday, April 1, 2011 Skky served as a judge for a talent showcase whereby two winners (one high school performer and one middle school performer) took home $500 each. The event was also a fundraiser for the Delta Education Life Development Foundation's scholarship fund.
March 4, 2011 - North Miami Beach High School Invasion
Skky Music along with Global South continues the Youth Intervention High School Mini-Tour. This time the focus was on HIV/AIDS Intervention. The guest speakers for this event were Two females who are currently HIV positive. Once again Skky Music and Global South Music provided the Musical Entertainment. January 30, 2011 – NBC 6 (Generation Nexxt Award Gala Highlights)
This morning South Florida’s NBC 6 aired a 30 minute special highlighting the Generation Nexxt Awards Gala which included performances by Skky Music LLC Recording Artists (UnTuchabel, Top Flight Generals, Sariyna, and Mirani Starr). January 28, 2011 – North Miami High School Invasion
Global South Music and Skky Music LLC are currently conducting a Youth Intervention Mini-Tour at several High Schools in South Florida. At North Miami High School the focus was on Crime Intervention. With the crime rate among inner-city youth increasing dramatically in this region, Global South Music’s CEO, Duke, felt compelled to do something. Although the actual speakers and performers may vary between the schools, each outing will consist of (1) Personal Testimonies from prior convicted felons, and (2) Entertainment by Global South Music and Skky Music Recording Artists.
On January 26, 2011, Global South Music kicked off the tour at North Miami High School. The event was well received; in fact, an encore was requested by both the students and the faculty. January 24, 2011 – Generation Nexxt Awards Gala
Skky Music LLC sponsored the 2011 Generation Nexxt Awards Gala which was held yesterday, Sunday, January 23, 2011 in Miramar Florida. Generation Nexxt is a Youth Sports Network that highlights that talents and achievements of players, and coaches of community youth sports leagues in South Florida. Portions of the Awards will be aired on South Florida’s NBC 6 (Sunday, January 30, 2011), and the event in its entirety will be posted on the Generation Nexxt Website (Registration Required).
